Asafa Powell held the world record in the 100 metres between June 2005 and May 2008. He is the man who have broken the 10-second barrier most times, 84 times! Powells personal best, 9,72 seconds, is the fifth fastest time in the history of 100 m sprint. Running runs in his family, with both his his parents having ran fast times in the 100 yard dash and his brother Donovan was a 60 m finalist in the 1999 World Indoor Championships. Donovan is today Asafa’s coach.
